We require the service of a competent kitchen Assistant at Midway Best Hotel located at Idimu Lagos.
Kitchen Assistant Skills and Requirements
- Previous kitchen work experience
- Sound knowledge of food safety regulations
- Physically fit and able to stand for entire shifts
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Time management and organisational skills
Duties
These are the typical duties of a Kitchen Assistant:
- Ordering food supplies/monitoring stock levels
- Cleaning and using kitchen equipment and kitchen utensils such as meat slicers
- Responding to requests from the dining room
- Food preparation/preparing raw ingredients/cutting meat
- Following safety standards/health and safety regulations
- Cleaning kitchen floors and kitchen walls
- Following the instruction of other kitchen staff
- Monitoring cooking times
- Using special knives
- Lifting heavy objects such as tables
- Ensuring the kitchen area is clean and tidy
Qualifications
The education and qualifications of a good Kitchen Assistant might include the following:
- SSCE/OND
