We are currently recruiting for a Food & Beverage Assistant
The Hotel:
The 129 bedroom, 4* Crowne Plaza Dundalk, is Dundalk's premier conference & events hotel.
Our vast lobby is the perfect place to host a small business meeting, with Inca coffee lounge serving a range of coffee and pastries each morning. 14 Below bar is perfect for business lunches, catching up with friends, or a family meal out, serving food daily from 12pm until 9.30pm. The Rooftop restaurant is Dundalk's highest restaurant, located on the 13th floor of this iconic building, serving breakfast 7 mornings per week, and sumptuous dinners on Friday & Saturday evening.
Our dedicated meetings floor consists of a large break out lounge, 7 syndicate rooms, and a function room which can cater for up to 120 for dinner. On the ground floor, lies the larger of our rooms, the Hamilton Suite, with a large break out foyer, this room seats up to 300 for dinner, and is suitable for wide range of differing events from conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, weddings and gala events.
The Role:
Working in a busy Hotel, the main duties shall include:
§ To ensure all guests queries are handled promptly and efficiently
§ To ensure all guest requests are met i.e. VIP’s, Regulars, and Group Attendees & Special Requirements.
§ To maximize in revenue, through up selling and additional sales, efficient recording of sales.
§ To follow up promptly on any guest request and ensure guest satisfaction is achieved
§ To process all charges for groups and individuals efficiently
§ To maximize seating capacity with out compromising standards
§ To ensure all staff are familiar with safe keeping, cash handling, credit policy of the hotel
§ To constantly liaise with other departments to ensure all guest requests are attended to efficiently
§ To be fully aware of any menu updates, hotel promotions, corporate promotions or special activities going on in the hotel/area
§ To organize and assist with carrying out any reasonable guest and staff promotional events when required To carry out all duties to the standards as laid down in the standard of performance manuals.
§ To ensure we have a good working relationship with the support companies or groups
§ To ensure that all standards are met at all times
The ideal candidate will have:
Full Availability to work mornings, midweek, evenings and weekends throughout the year.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with fluency in the English language.
The ability to work on own initiative.
Previous experience in a similar role is a distinct advantage.
