Busy Ear, Nose, and Throat Practice. Ideal Candidate would have two or more years of experience in the medical field. A Medical Assistant front and back office. Otolaryngology experience is a plus! Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include checking schedules, organizing patient flow, accompanying patients to exam/procedure room, assisting patients as needed with dressings, collecting specimens, preparing for exams, collect patient history; assist physician with various procedures, charting, relaying instructions to patients/families, answering calls and providing pertinent information.
  • Fulfills daily clerical responsibilities such as task man, orders, and incoming/outgoing correspondences.
  • Answering phones calls daily, including scheduling patients, checking voicemails, and creating patient cases as needed.
  • Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with facility standards. Keeps patients and families informed of waiting times.
  • Executing all daily, weekly, and monthly calibrations for equipment such as Mini CT Xoran Machine, Scopes, Autoclave, etc.
  • Ensures an adequate stock of supplies and proper functioning of equipment including

cleaning and sterilizing daily.

· Executing all prior authorizations related to back office such as medications, CT scans, and other related studies

· Cleans and prepares front office area at end of shift for receipt of patients the following clinic day.

  • Be available and participate in on-call assignments.
  • Participates in education programs and attends meetings as required.
  • Participates in the orientation and/or training of newly hired personnel when needed.
  • Logging in daily to your office communication portals such as emails, skype, and staying on top of incoming staff/practice updates and staff correspondences.
  • Responsible for clocking in and out at the beginning, middle, and end of each shift.
  • Submitting PTO request in a timely fashion.
  • Obtain permission from lead or office administrator if occurring over time.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant/Current BLS or CPR Certification

Travel: Some light traveling between our Goodyear and Sun City Office.

Salary is based off experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
