- Applies lacquer, paint, oil and varnish to furniture, and polishes and waxes finished furniture surfaces. Other tasks will be to: examine and disassemble furniture to determine the extent of damage or deterioration and the best method for repair or restoration.
- Repairing broken parts, removing imperfections, and filling in cracks. Removing old finishings and excess solvent. Sanding and smoothing the item in preparation for finishing. Selecting and applying finishing lubricants such as varnish, stains, or shellac.
- Color Mixing and thinning paint.
- Have Good color vision and aesthetic instincts.
- Attention to detail.
- Physical strength, stamina and dexterity.
- Familiarity with painting tools and materials.
- Time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
- Familiar with all kinds of paints and knows how to paint different kinds of furniture such as wooden doors, chairs, tables, cabinets, shelves, TV stand, and etc.
- Knows lacquer polishing, sanding and prepartion.
