Job Summary
Under direction of Field Engineer, Service Manager, Service Supervisor or Specialist, performs a number of tasks associated with the operation, rig-up / down of equipment and tools and related equipment in the field.
Essential Responsibilities
- Close supervision
- Requires some problem recognition and solution selection among predetermined alternatives
- Follows simplified or highly patterned processes
- Solid office or technical knowledge and skills, acquired through prior training and/or experience
- Job-related interaction primarily with peers and supervisor
- Well-defined work methods
- Ability to read and interpret routine instructions
- Errors have limited impact
- (Field and Mfg) Good mechanical aptitude, including developing skills in use of general hand tools and precision measuring equipment
- Limited interaction with internal / external customers
- Work requires some organization of predetermined principles
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- (Mfg) Sets up, monitors and operates various pieces of equipment associated with the manufacturing facility requirements
- (Mfg) May operate multiple machines simultaneously
- (Mfg) May perform quality assurance activities as required by manufacturing/engineering specifications and ISO requirements
