If so, then apply this challenging and exciting job opportunity as Purchasing Officer for procurement at our Novo Nordisk production site in Hjørring called Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing.
The position
Purchasing activities towards suppliers of raw materials for our production lines are the focus of this position. Robust and effective supply of raw materials are crucial for our continued performance and success as a company.
You will focus on timely release of raw materials by ordering, monitoring deliveries and follow-up with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will operate in both an operational and tactical environment and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation. As Purchasing Officer, you will work closely together with many stakeholders in Novo Nordisk A/S including quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing, warehouse, development departments, strategic sourcing and suppliers.
You will be part of supply chain projects where we continually improve our supply chain processes or implement new suppliers to our portfolio. You will continuously focus on ensuring a robust and cost-efficient supply chain, and you will have the opportunity to influence our processes and affect the way we work with our stakeholders.
Your Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you:
- have an educational background or experience within purchasing or procurement management
- are known for your ability to foster a good collaboration with suppliers
- can negotiate and set direction towards suppliers
- have an eye for data and IT systems, and preferably experience with SAP ECC and APO
- have a structured way of working with data and can transform it into business information for decision making
- have knowledge of quality management systems within the medical device industry
- communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.

About the department
You will be part of the Supply Chain Management team who is responsible for our suppliers of raw materials and our contract manufacturer of pen needles. This being purchasing, subcontracting, tactical, and strategic planning, and the responsibility of supplying products to patients in due time. We are 18 dedicated and skilled colleagues in the team who collaborate to make the most efficient and robust supply chain that delivers high-quality products to our customers around the world. The team is part of Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing which is overall responsible for the global end-to-end supply chain of Novo Nordisk's pen needles including both internal and external production, quality assurance, and manufacturing development. We are organised in seven departments and with more than 425 employees dedicated to ensuring the pen needle supply to Novo Nordisk.
