Job Description
The purpose of this role is to provide leadership and technical expertise to the level 3 server and storage team. The role will coordinate day-to-day activities with technical oversight of the work being conducted.
Some of the duties of this role include but are not limited to:
- Identify, plan, schedule and monitor the team's activities.
- Provide technical expertise to assist team members to develop in their job roles.
- Identify opportunities for development within the team.
- Develop architecture and roadmaps for Server and Storage services.
- Design, implement, operate and decommission;
o Data storage infrastructure, on-premise and cloud
o Server and compute infrastructure, on-premise and cloud
o Collaboration services, email, Teams and SharePoint - Update and maintain asset and configuration documentation related to server and storage
The Successful Applicant
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualified and/or strong and relevant industry certifications.
- Experience in a similar role
- Strong Microsoft server technologies background.
- Strong understanding of data storage technologies, on-premise, cloud and backups.
- Broad understanding of server-based applications.
- General understanding of network technologies.
- Good understanding of security in server and storage environments.
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical to understandable concepts.
- Planning and scheduling.
- Good writing skills both technical and written communication.
